New Work Pension Scheme Makes UK Businesses Seek Advice

It has been announced that an average of 90% of businesses in the United Kingdom are already considering seeking advice on the possible impacts that the National Employment Savings Trust (NEST) – the new national pension scheme to be launched by the UK Government in 2012.
Results of the research carried out by Personal Accounts Delivery Authority (PADA) showed that the vast majority of small businesses in Great Britain (67% of respondents) intend to consult accountants in order to determine whether they need to comply and, if they do, to understand the new rules.
Commenting on the research, Ray Porter of PADA said that the introduction of the NEST will make most of the small businesses in the UK face employee pension for the first time and, thus, will lead to a necessity to provide correct information for them.
