A poor Moldavian student has virtually become a billionaire and a real estate tycoon thanks to his distant German relative. Sergey Sudev, the student, saw him only two times when he paid a visit to Germany. He inherited EUR 950 million, jewellery and multiple properties from his uncle’s will. The message reached the lucky man through an authorised representative of the deceased relative. Sergey found his relative for the first time on the Web in 1998. At that time, the German uncle answered Sergey’s email and invited the young man to his place in Germany.
The unexpected wealth of Sergey made him, a much discussed topic amongst the people in his Moldavian hometown. His friends are now trying to borrow money from him. It’s amazing that the total value of the will is equal to Moldavia’s annual budget.
Apart from being a journalism student, Sergey worked as a radio DJ in his town. He earned only about £120 a month. When he became rich, he found himself in an embarrassing situation. It became more difficult for him just to go out. Even the local officials called for a meeting to discuss the phenomenon hoping that Sergey would contribute a part to his hometown.
