January Is the Right Time for Personal Loans

The beginning of 2011 was marked by the introduction of low-interest loan deals for consumers with poor credit history by Santander, a Spanish-based lender.

Commenting on the move, Mr. Maryniak of uSwitch, said that it does not come as a surprise because post-Christmas weeks are the time when Brits typically revise their expenditures and look for available finance options to easily pay off credit card debts.

Although Santander is supposed to be interested in lending money to consumers, its experts warn borrowers that certain conditions apply to cheap loans and that people must think carefully whether they need a loan and whether they can afford it.

Mr. Maryniak highlighted that those borrowers who truly believe they need a loan should do their best to get it in January while UK banks fight for consumers by dropping interest rates.
