A recent research has shown that motorcyclists contribute up to £3 billion a year to the UK economy. This figure includes taxes from motorbike sales as well as motorbike insurance.
Also, according to the research the industry helps national economy by providing jobs for more than 62,000 people. And if the demand continues to grow there will be even more people employed in the sector.
The data has been presented by one of the leading organisations in this sector – the Motorcycle Industry Association which represents more than 125 suppliers. The Association is trying to get attention of the government to the needs of the community it represents.
In order to popularize motorcycling MCI conducts numerous activities such as Get on Campaign which has increased the number of riders by some 72,000 people. The organisation is planning to continue the efforts.
