She explains the growth of interest to fine wine market in Asian countries by the economical downfall in traditional wine markets such as the New World’s markets and the Old World’s markets that are still recovering after the last 18 months while they were out of the market. Asia picked up the slack and is now the leader in demand.
Wine investment returns are mostly influenced by demand. Vintage wine attracts more buyers. As there quantity of wine is finite prices tend to rise as the wine is drunk. Asian buyers are generally buying wine to drink which keeps high supply and demand.
