Hugh Best, head of the investment management department at London Central Portfolio, leading property investment fund based in the British capital, explained why London property is so popular with foreign investors.
One of the factors, in his opinion, is definitely the political and economic stability of Great Britain.
Another factor is the global feel of London. This is not only due to the status of English as the global language. "London is a very cosmopolitan market. If you went to Paris - Paris is French, New York is American, but London is truly global," said Hugh Best.
Factor number three is the high quality of education offered by British universities.
Finally, the price growth of London property should be underestimated. The market can easily recover from economic downturns and bring high yields.
