UK Needs to Improve Its Investment Status

A research carried out by Ipsos MORI, a leading UK-based company specialising in market research, showed that Great Britain became less attractive for foreign investors because of its poor performance in certain sectors.
The research called "The UK as a place to invest" was carried out by Ipsos MORI on behalf of CBI and Deloitte among 120 business leaders.
As such, respondents rated Great Britain lower than USA, India and China, the same as Brazil and Asia and higher that Russia and Europe. It was highlighted that UK needs to improve its business taxation, regulation, planning and infrastructure sectors in order to attract more low, medium and high risk investment from abroad.
Commenting on the findings, Mr. Lambert of CBI said that the British government needs to focus on "how to attract more investment... because UK have lost ground in recent years, and is lagging behind the US, China and India."
