Yorkshire Building Society Cuts Rates on First-time Buyers Mortgages

Last week, the Yorkshire Building Society announced a cut in first-time buyer mortgage interest rates by 0.25%.
From June, 8th, Yorkshire Building Society offers 2-year fixed mortgages for borrowers with 90% deposit at 4.49%. Home loans for 5 years are available at 4.74%.
Commenting on the company's move, Jemma Smith, mortgage product manager at Yorkshire Building Society, said: "We have been offering best buy rates at higher LTVs for some time and are committed to offering competitive deals to buyers with smaller deposits, first time buyers in particular. With one in four of our mortgages being taken out by first time buyers, we are proud to outperform the market in this sector."
Let us remind that earlier this month Yorkshire Building Society waived fees on all mortgages, including first-time buyer mortgage. The offer is valid through July, 14th.
