Brokers to be Wary When Choosing Conveyancing Partners

It has recently been reported that UKconvey, also known as Norman Saville, has been suspended.
The conveyancing company, considered to be the best one in Great Britain, is said to be intervened by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, the independent regulatory organisation of the Law Society in England and Wales.
Norman Saville used to be popular among estate agents and brokers mostly for its great reputation and "no completion no fee" offer. It received a new instruction every 12 minutes.
At the moment, the official website of Norman Saville is still working, however, the phones do not answer. All the clients' files and money are now safeguarded by Russell-Cooke Solicitors.
This situation made other UK solicitors warn brokers and estate agents against careless choice of law companies. In the opinion of Mr. Eddie Goldsmith, conveyancing lawyer and senior partner at Goldsmith Williams, a specialist in conveyancing, remortgages and wills, the closure of Norman Saville is a bright example of how vulnerable firms are.
