UK Commercial Property Index Published by CBRE

UK Monthly Index compiled by CB Richard Ellis and published on December 7th 2010, showed that UK commercial property values rose by 0.2% in November.
However, variations across different sectors and regions were dramatic, with offices being the most successful sector as compared to retail and industrials. As such, the returns for offices stood at 0.9%, whereas this figure only reached 0.7% and 0.3% for retail and industrials respectively.
It did not come as a surprise that the strongest growth was registered in Central London.
Commenting on the findings, Mr. Wylie, who takes the post of head of UK economics and forecasting department at CBRE, said that "while overall returns remained positive and displayed a surprising degree of stability over the past month, there was a marked degree of divergence between market sub-sectors."
