'Brits Find Car Insurance Too Expensive'.. New story emerging: Bears shit in the woods. Ofcourse we find it too expensive, thats because it is. Here was a fun insurance quote I just made on 'compare the market': First time driver, 23, car value of £20, 1988 vauxhall nova, 0.9litre engine, security system, secure work car park during the day, garaged during the night, 500 miles per year....my best estimate? £2200+ per year if I pay monthly. Not much better with a 0.9 R-reg seicento and out of more than 40 different cars and quotes, this was actually one of the cheapest. You have to take out a mortgage to take it.
