Virgin Money Introduces Contactless Credit Cards in UK

Virgin Money, a UK lender, announced it decided to join the contactless payment system. This means that almost 2 million Brits who hold Virgin Money credit cards will be able to buy items worth £15 and less without having to enter the PIN code.
In the framework of this process, Virgin Money will send out brand new credit cards to all its existing customers who already own a card, so that they will be able to take advantage of the latest technology.
This new contactless payment technology suggests that card holders can simply put their card against the scanner to pay for the purchase.
It is already in place in a large number of UK retailers, who are interested in facilitating the purchasing process quicker and reducing queuing times. More companies have already demonstrated their intentions to join the system by installing the terminals.
Let us remind that the contactless payment technology was first introduced in Great Britain by Barclaycard.
Experts of Which?, independent consumer group, warmly welcomed the move by Virgin Money.
