problems with renewal of insurance

When I was renting a flat I had contents insurance on it. Then I had to move out before the insurance was over. But I did not cancel it unfortunately. Of course I did not receive their letter about the renewal of insurance and they continued to take money from my credit card.

I wonder, if there are any opportunity to get my money back?

Any advice will be appreciated.

It is rather curious , that you did not know about "autorenew" clause! Maybe there is a chance to transfer your insurance to your new flat?!
As for getting back your money it is diffficult to answer, it was not their fault , that you didn't cancell the insurance before it was over.
