House purchase and debt issues

I am kind of repeating myself here as this question is similar to another one. My girlfriend is paying for her debt, which has nothing to do with me. If we are to buy a house together, I don’t want any of her creditors to go after our house. Is it better to purchase a house on my own name or it doesn’t really matter?
