Fully Comprehensive cover v third party insurance
I am coming to conclusion that it is not worth paying for fully comprehensive cover. My policy is due for renewal in June and I am contemplating the idea of going third party only. This winter my friend skidded on ice went through the fence on to the field, the car was a write off, BUT she received a cheque from her insurance company for £150!!! Well, Ok, it was not a new car, about 5years old, but it is totally impossible to replace it for £150! Her annual premium was around £300! There was no damage to any other cars, except that fence, which by the way I don’t think would be claimed from her insurance anyway. I wonder if anybody had similar experience?
